How it works
Discover
A photo wall of fresh dishes, offers and rooms, shared by the places themselves. Plus collections and tips from people you follow.
Choose together
Add places to a plan, share the link in your group chat and choose together. Everyone sees right away what's been picked.
Sort it
Book a table or a room directly with the place. The status shows in your plan: requested, confirmed or paid.
Tips, not stars
We deliberately don't do star reviews. Instead, guests leave short tips: what to order, which table is best, when it's quiet. That helps the next guest without tearing a place down.
- A tip is short (up to 160 characters) and appears under your name.
- Counts like ‘3 tips’ or ‘saved 12 times’ are real, and only shown above a threshold.
- You can report inappropriate tips; our team reviews them.
How we keep it fair
- There's no paid ranking. The order depends on location, your filters and how recently a place shared something.
- Posting limits make sure no single place takes over the feed.
- We don't make anything up: no ratings, no ‘busy’ labels and no ‘only two tables left’.
- We only show availability when the place releases it through HelloWhere itself. Opening hours aren't availability.
- Allergens, accessibility and terms are shown as the place states them.
- Collections are people's personal picks, not tested rankings.
If sponsored placements ever arrive, they'll always be clearly labelled as sponsored.
For restaurants and hotels
A free profile with photos, menu and opening hours, posts that appear in the feed and bookings through HelloWhere. Want guests to prepay or leave a deposit? That runs through your own Stripe: straight to you, with no commission for HelloWhere.

Good to know
A place only gets the ‘Owner verified’ label once we've checked ownership outside the app.
Places labelled ‘Demo’ are fictional examples, so you can see how it works.
